    Hi there, and welcome to my Barco Data 800 CRT Projector reference website. This place serves as a resource for CRT enthusiasts and Barco 800 owners in particular.
    The menu on your left contains all relevant information I've been able to type so far, categorized in sections. The Getting Started section deals with everything you need to know prior to obtaining a Barco CRT Projector. The Installation section deals with all the challenges related to the setup of an 800 CRT projector. The Downloads section contains all the tools you need to overcome these challenges :). In Troubleshooting you will find some of the most common problems and solutions related to the Barco 800 series. DIY Projects has some info on cheap do it yourself projects & repairs. Naturally there's also a section on my own setup and the obligatory amount of sexy Barco screenshots to give you an idea what this projector is capable of.

    AS OF SEPTEMBER 2007 I NO LONGER OWN A BARCO 800 AND THUS AM UNABLE TO ANSWER ANY TECHNICAL QUESTIONS ANYMORE

  • September 2007: A huge fire destoyed most of my house. Even though the Barco did survive, the projector is now SOLD. I've built a new home theater but this time with a DLP projector. Yeah. I know.
  • September 2004 - Finally found some time to add/mirror Barco 800 Service manuals. See Downloads section.
  • November 2004 - Finally added the "Getting Started: What do you need" chapter you guys keep bugging me about :)
  • April 2005 - Minor adjustments to text. Busy preparing new sections "tube swap" and "power supply soldering" due for release on this site soon :)
